Parks Highway | AK Boondocking

Writer's picture: noordinarypathnoordinarypath

If you are looking for a quick, free overnight near Denali National park, there are several pull outs along Parks Highway that are perfect for just that. Most are just off the highway so there will be a bit of traffic and it won't be super private but we found it fit the bill for just passing through. The GPS location below is the exact one we stayed in right next to the river.

AT A GLANCE

This area is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed the sound of the rushing water overnight and the traffic really died down at night. In the morning we were super close to Denali National Park and took the RV with us as there was plenty of parking there.
